Fort Lauderdale, FL - Two new 76' Roscioli Donzi Yachts are currently under construction-both for existing customers who want to expand or up-size their fleets-and both chose the builder they trust, Roscioli Donzi. With two different models, an updated Sportfish and a new "Med," combining a walk-around teak fore deck and open aft deck, Roscioli brings his brand's 55-year reputation for building the finest quality yachts, to the forefront of the sportfish and motor yacht industry.
Having built over 72 sportfisherman from 58' to 80' in the past 3 decades, Bob Roscioli advanced from a painter's apprentice in the 1960s to become a paint specialist, then a Donzi Sportfish dealer in 1987. He then purchased the iconic Donzi name, establishing his own factory in Bradenton, Florida, as he built and grew Roscioli Yachting Center, a full-service marina, rigging and repair center, to its current expanse on State Road 84 in Fort Lauderdale. In both locations, Roscioli is the Vince Lombardi of boat builders, optimistically coaching a team of winners, inspiring them to excellence each day. The company takes customization to the highest level with in-house craftsman, mechanics and technicians who build pride, passion and skill into each yacht; the company has pioneered many technologies, paints and finishes, for which it has earned a reputation, based on Roscioli's entry into the industry.
The two new 76' builds demonstrate the strength of the two iconic names, Roscioli and Donzi. Together they build trust with an ironclad warranty. Bob Roscioli's drive in life is to ensure that every creative, unique design and construction detail built into his yachts reflects the best in the industry and is worthy of his name.
The Med - A New Hybrid of Sportfish Style with Motor Yacht Comfort
When a discerning yacht owner wanted an additional boat for European cruising and already has an 80' Roscioli Donzi, to complement his megayachts, the company worked with the owner's representative to develop a totally new 76' as the ideal lifestyle vessel. The Med was created to provide performance, safety and flexibility for a myriad of water activities. This yacht handles all types of cruising with walk-around convenience and a flybridge that doubles as an entertainment, dining and sun lounging platform, surrounding the captain's helm as the literal center of attention. An eisenglass enclosure and A/C add weather protection and comfort.
The bow sun pad adds maximum space for three sun worshippers and just a few steps down, a recessed bow lounge provides relaxation with more wind and sun protection. The aft deck and its huge forward facing lounge, table and a starboard wet bar are all shaded by the hard top. A hinged aft door lifts to provide engine access while the sizable swim platform and ladder provide water access; a passerelle is added for European docking convenience.
Inside, the bright salon with 7' of headroom, looks through to the bow where the galley is wrapped under the full panoramic Procurve windshield, offering extra strength and natural light throughout. A bar joins the salon and galley together as L and C-shaped lounges invite guests to relax at custom built teak coffee and dining tables to enjoy the 360-degree views.
Below deck, the master (amidships) and VIP (forward) have en suite luxurious heads and showers. A guest head is added and a wide starboard walkway connects to the salon/galley stairs.
Crew quarters are aft, laying out with port and starboard full-sized bunks, divided by a head and mini galley, with a washer and dryer.
The Sportfish - Classic Comfort & Style
When an avid angler built his R58 with Roscioli nearly three years ago, he was intimately involved in the process of design and construction, as he walked through the life-size mock-up of the interior and deck, from which the mold is made. The process enabled details to be tweaked to adjust for the client's stature-as well as his wife's. This construction method, while painstaking and laborious, has proven effective and efficient for empowering an owner's experience of how the boat will feel when it is completed. Some new discoveries of spatial use are explored, making the boat owner an integral part of the building process and for many, "That journey is as important as the destination," says Roscioli.
Anticipating more and longer fishing and pleasure cruises with family and friends, this owner is expanding his horizons with a 76' Sportfish model that will also accommodate a captain and mate when needed. While the 76' Donzi Roscioli is still easy to operate singly, "It's nice to have the option of having a captain on board when you want or need him," adds Roscioli, noting that the fit and finish of all crew quarters are of the same quality as the master and VIP staterooms and are always available as additional guest accommodations when needed.
The smooth flow of the recognizable Roscioli Donzi profile is carried from its bow, up to the flybridge and down from the recessed side air vents to the aft deck. There, fishing takes priority as two refrigerated and insulated fish boxes/live wells on the lanai, flank a Release Marine Battle Saddle fighting chair. An additional 60-gallon pressurized live well is at the transom center--a bonus for blue water anglers who want to preserve live bait. The boat includes a 500-pound/day Eskimo icemaker and Rupp hydraulic outriggers.
The custom built teak mezzanine adds a comfortable view of the catch and steps lead up to the spacious flybridge where the captain has ample room to drive and share the wind-in-your-face excitement with passengers. Bench and C-shaped lounges invite socializing and refreshments are kept cold in the custom stainless refrigerator with an icemaker and freezer.
A CZone control and monitoring system is being added to the boat to provide networked digital switch interfaces of all onboard electrical systems. This technology simplifies traditional wiring, offering the ease of phone or tablet control and is another example of Roscioli Donzi's customization, incorporating the latest technologies.
When the inside calls, the broad wrap-around Procurve windows provide strength, UV protection, unobstructed 360-degree views and natural light to the full beam salon and galley. Here, all join for entertainment, freshly caught and prepared fish and more refreshments at the bar or sizable C-lounge. Matched grain teak abounds in solidly built custom cabinetry with no-rattle Ferrari hinges, rounded corners and flowing lines. A starboard large screen TV retracts into the cabinet and the entire aft deck door and window can likewise be customized to retract into the engine room. A day head is to port.
Starboard steps lead below deck, to the full beam amidships master and forward VIP, both with en suite heads and tall glass showers with flat floor drains. A chilled water A/C system is channeled through high ceiling soffits. A third guest bunk and head is located between. Comfortable crew quarters divide the master suite from the engine room and have full-sized bunk beds to port and starboard, with a mini-galley, head and cleverly designed retractable counter over the toilet, also providing space for a washer and dryer.
The Roscioli Difference - The Blueprint of Your Boat, Mirrors the Blueprint of Your Life
The interiors of both yachts are designed specifically for each customer's boating style and for easy flow and comfort. The classic sportfish finishes are updated in matching grain teak custom cabinetry that provides function, storage and ambiance for all living and lounging spaces. Roscioli's signature is seen throughout with top quality materials, workmanship and classic décor throughout.
Roscioli Donzi engine rooms boast easy access to maintain all operations systems, including the signature Seatorque BOSS oil bath drive, the Von Widmann underwater exhaust and the Detroit Diesel/MTU 16V2600 engines. These systems all work together to provide a smooth and efficient ride with estimated cruising speeds of 38 mph with a top end of 42+ mph.
The newest stabilization system keeps everyone aboard at ease and the two 32KW Koehler generators provide plenty of backup power at sea. Large 2,500-gallon fuel and 250-gallon water tanks ensure confidence and convenience for long distance cruising. As always, matching boat paint facilitates the cleanliness of the engine room and lazarette, where all wiring, plumbing and rigging runs are proudly exposed, showing mechanical precision and meticulous attention to detail.
Roscioli now tucks the anchor into the bow, eliminating the pulpit and maintaining a striking, clean bowline. Infused fiberglass creates an impeccably smooth hull, but Roscioli's reputation was built on fine paint, and the yard uses only the top quality paint and coatings including AWLGRIP, Alexseal and DuPont. A Roscioli Donzi strikes a strong and fine figure at dock or on the water.
The build of each boat is completed in record time as Roscioli Donzi approaches each project with intelligent planning, organization and in-house control of a passionate, focused team of craftsman who work efficiently to customize and create each yacht. Roscioli acknowledges that most people considering one of his yachts have had other boats and know what they want and don't want and he and his team understand and cater to those wants and needs.
More than a shipyard, more than a boat builder - The real Roscioli Difference is the combination of excellence and expertise in both building and service. While clients get 55+ years of knowledge, they also get the capabilities of an entire factory and shipyard that handles all types and sizes of yachts and all services from restoration, renovation, carpentry, paint, metal and electrical work and all ranges of maintenance. Each team member at Roscioli Donzi and Roscioli Yacht Service is a seasoned craftsman or technician in every marine trade so you and your boat get the best in-house care-not a vendor from a dealer network. The sale is beginning of a relationship with Bob Roscioli. "We work with our clients to give them exactly what they want and need using only the best materials and technology available. That is our DNA, and I put my name on it," states Roscioli with conviction.
